I looked around to find some thoughtful companies that either donate items (like buy one give one campaigns), support fair trade or hire and buy from specific groups of people to support economic growth in impoverished areas. There are so many ways companies can choose to do good. We all can make better choices that impact the lives of others.

Her Future Coalition -Goods sold by this company give women who have survived human trafficking a job. A way to get out and support themselves. A lifeline. They sell gorgeous jewelry.

Siestas For Fiestas – Quit possibly the cutest blankets ever, each purchase provides a Christmas meal for a family in Cancun, Mexico. Each meals is delivered to a family with the saying “Jesus goes with me” on it. This is a smaller company with a very specific mission in a very specific place and I adore that!

One World Play – This one is for my boys. They love futbol (soccer as we call it here in the USA) and it is a small privilege we take for granted. One World gives a soccer ball away for ever one purchased. They are made from extra durable materials that last and never go flat! Kids need to play and laugh and have fun. So many underprivileged countries don’t even have a simple soccer ball to play with. One World Play is changing that. My boys will be getting these for Christmas!

FashionABLE –  With a mission to create jobs and stimulate economy for women around the world, they are committed to business education and growth in places that don’t typically receive this type of help. They empower women! From gorgeous leather bags to breathtaking jewelry there are a ton of items to shop.

Thistle Farms –  Described as a sanctuary for women escaping addiction, prostitution, trafficking and abuse they provide more than just jobs and a future for these women. Their products help sustain programs that change lives through love. Here is a gift for the guy in your life, but they have other wonderful products too!
Unlock Hope – The purchase of an Unlock Hope tee gives young refugee girls in Uganda a chance at an education and helps meet their daily needs. They have TONS of t-shirt designs!

Lstn Sound Co – The mission of this company is close to my heart. My mom is deaf in one ear and has always struggled with hearing. I know first hand how tough this can be and how expensive it is to get help. Lstn’s mission is to help fund hearing restoration and awareness globally. They make gorgeous headphones and speakers. My son happens to have a pair of these headphones and LOVES them! They are a stunning product with an important cause.
One World Play – The same company that makes the futbols above has added a dog toy line! You know we love out girl Gigi and we wouldn’t want to leave her out. A portion of purchase proceeds goes to fund animal friendly causes.

Women’s Bean Project– Perfect for the foodie in your group (like my husband and daughter) this company sells spices, beans and food mixes made from chronically unemployed and impoverished women. They are taught business and life skills to help them succeed in life and break the cycle they were in. The Home T – You’ve probably seen these t-shirts before. They are awesome. But the company is too and I doubt enough people know that. They donate to the National MS Society for research to end Multiple Sclerosis. With a few dear friends who have MS in their family I know a cure is desperately needed.
