Spring brought me the devine opportunity to visit France for a week. I’ve shared about the workshop I attended and the outings we had, but I had SO MANY pictures left of French scenery that I’ve not yet shared! Today is the day…just snapshots of the gorgeous, laid back lifestyle I enjoyed on my vacation, I hope they feed your soul.
Can you even get over how gorgeous this flower is!?
The old church by our chateau.
With the door tread worn down, just imagine all the souls that graced these doors over the years.
Some are now laid to rest in the surrounding cemetery.
We walked the slopes of the vineyards.
Posing by quaint out buildings from long ago.
And sketched the horizon in our memories. We walked sleepy winding roads
and enjoyed the accents that have hung around for centuries.
Took in the beautiful framework of the Chateau
and let the landscape carry our thoughts away. I was reminded that beauty can grow anywhere, even the hard places.
And that it is always a good idea to stop and smell the roses.
The slow moments are the ones that last
and taking in the details will never leave you disappointed.
What a trip it was.
