Simple Dollar Store Easter Decor
Once a month a few friends and I get together to bring you some decor ideas from the dollar store, be sure to check out their ideas down below. There is a time and place for expensive home accessories, but it is really easy to decorate on a super tight budget and still be cute! This week I decide to treat my little ones to an outdoor dinner since my husband was out of town and it was just us. Cute little trinkets from the dollar store helped me pull of a simple table that looks anything but cheap! If you haven’t got your spring table together, hit the dollar store for some inspiration!
It’s no secret I don’t love to cook and when dad is out of town the kiddos know we chow down on the staples…pizza, tacos, spaghetti. BUT, I can decorate a table and that is my part of the equation that I’m happy to supply. Even if we are eating frozen pizza we might as well do it with a little fun thrown in! I adore these little Easter plates I’ve had for years from Two’s Company and simple woven chargers. For an extra treat we will dine al fresco on the cute table I scored at Round Top last Fall.
The 99 Cent store delivered when I found this set of three mini galvanized buckets for $2.
I also grabbed a bag of shredded paper grass and some plastic decorative garden stakes. They have tons of candy and Easter bunny treats as well.
Perfect for a busy mom’s to do list!
This week I got some happy mail from Ball Canning – they sent me some of their new amber glass mason jars and I LOVE them. They are perfect for the colors I have going on in my house. The little ones made a great vase for some Knockout Roses fresh from the yard.
Using a paint pen I wrote each kiddos name on the garden stake, aren’t they cute name cards? These little buckets are a fun early Easter treasure stuffed with grass and candy for later when we huddle up and watch a movie. I seriously hate when my husband travels but we have a routine that involves catching up on movies and down time. Getting extra time with my littles is the highlight that makes him being gone ok.
If you want to liven up the holidays don’t discount scanning the aisles at your local dollar store chain, you might just be surprised! Look at these other fun ideas for spring.

Love the dishes. Did you make them?
Kim at Hunt and Host says
no – they are from two’s company, got them a while back and I love them! You could make them though! Decoupage the back of clear glass plates, that would be precious
