Red, White & Blue Dollar Store Ideas
Hi friends! If you are ready to get some fun 4th of July projects going on a tight budget you just hit the jackpot! I have an easy July 4th garland for you today along with some other cute projects made from Dollar Store materials! Be sure to check out my friend’s projects below then make a run to the closest $1 shop you can find!Any kind of garland or swag makes my heart happy and when it’s this simple it’s even better! As I was crusin’ the aisles at one of my many local dollar stores I spotted these AMAZING Eagle playing cards, in red, white and blue no less! I thought the National bird was a great way to help celebrate the pending July 4th holiday. I layered the mantel with some of my favorite junky pieces, like this old screen and baby bed springs, both roadside finds.
Some old tin I found at a flea market adds a great backdrop. I have been on the lookout for red “things” because red is a prominent holiday color, it’s great to have extra stuff on hand to lace through your holiday décor. You guys know jute is my go to string/thread/rope and it didn’t disappoint on this project. I simply went through the two decks of my dollar store Eagle cards I bought, pulling out all the fours. With my handy hole punch I snipped two holes in the 4 cards and a slew of others then threaded them on my trusted jute. Eagles and fours, yes please!
This year I have been on the look out for sign letters in the number four just for this summer decorating idea. I really want some more, so my collecting days aren’t over just yet.Sprinkle in some dollar store flags and olds books, easy peasy.
I made the fireworks 4th plaque with a reverse stencil I cut out on my Cricut (I used the regular stencil on this pillow). I just brushed some red, white and blue around the edges then splattered it a little for a fun burst of whimsy.
Celebrating the 4th is always fun and decorating for this beloved holiday is extra easy, hope this dollar store idea helps you and you American décor! You can share this project or save it for later and don’t forget to check out these crafty Red, white and blue ideas:

I love the 4 on the wood, is that a past project that I missed?
Did you have a 4 stencil that you painted around on a simple block of wood?
I love it.
Did you seal it when dry?
Kim at Salvaged Living says
such good questions I think I am going to do a Facebook live on this! but yes – i used a throw away stencil I cut on the Cricut, painted around it and that was all. You can wax seal or poly seal it if you want!
